Putting together an admin area in CodeIgniter is taking longer than I hoped it would. Even with this very helpful post I've only got as far as form validation, because I need to know what everything in the form validation class does and understand every feature of the form helper.

So far it seems like more work than doing it the traditional way. I just need to get into the framework mindset and focus on benefits.

Until then, heed my #musicmonday recommendations and check out some of the new Anti-Pop Consortium stuff. But don't bother with the Britney single '3', it's not up to Blackout standard - I'd say middling Circus at best.
